San Tan Valley neighborhoods Scott covers
San Tan Valley takes its name from the San Tan Mountains to the west, and San Tan Mountain Regional Park forms its western edge. Before 2000 the area was mostly desert and farmland. Today it's made up largely of planned communities, and Scott covers all of them, including:
- Johnson Ranch
- San Tan Heights
- Pecan Creek South
- Archer Meadows
- Skyline Ranch
- Copper Basin
San Tan Valley addresses use ZIP codes 85140, 85142, 85143 and 85144, several of which it shares with Queen Creek. If your mail says Queen Creek but you live on the Pinal County side, Scott covers you either way.
A new town that grew fast
Voters approved incorporating San Tan Valley in August 2025, and it officially became a town on September 17, 2025. Before that it was unincorporated Pinal County. The census counted 81,321 residents in 2010 and 99,894 in 2020, a 22.8% jump in ten years.
That growth means a lot of newer homes, many on their first or second owner:
- Just bought a home? Builders, subcontractors, agents and previous owners may all have had keys. A rekey changes the pins inside your existing locks so only your new keys work. More on rekeying and home locks.
- Renting out a home? About 18% of San Tan Valley homes are renter-occupied, according to Census figures for 2020–2024. Rekeying between tenants keeps a former renter's key from opening the door.
- Upgrading? Scott installs deadbolts, handlesets, keypad deadbolts and smart locks.
A note for HOA communities
Many San Tan Valley planned communities have HOAs with design guidelines for what owners can change on the outside of a home. Check yours before you pick a new finish or style for front-door hardware. A rekey changes only the inside of the lock, so it doesn't change how the door looks.
Safes and home security
For San Tan Valley homes with a gun safe or wall safe, Scott opens safes when the combination is lost or the lock fails, repairs them, installs electronic safe locks, and moves safes with his own safe-moving trailer. He holds factory certifications on safe locks from dormakaba, Sargent & Greenleaf and Kaba Mas. More on safe services.
Locked out in San Tan Valley?
Emergency lockout service runs 24/7 for San Tan Valley homes, businesses and cars. Call (813) 712-0832 with your address or nearest cross street. Before he opens a home, Scott asks for ID or proof that you live there. For cars, Scott opens the car but doesn't make or program car keys. More on car lockouts.
If a child, pet or anyone at risk is locked inside a car, call 911 first. Arizona heat makes a closed car dangerous within minutes.
