A typical car lockout on a standard vehicle during business hours within 15 driving miles of San Tan Valley runs about $125. Scott opens the car and gets you back on the road. He doesn't make or program car keys.

What we do and don't do

- We don't: make, cut or program car keys or key fobs.

What to tell Scott when you call
- Where the car is: an address, a parking lot, or the nearest cross street
- The make, model and year
- Whether the keys are inside the car or lost
- Whether anyone or any animal is inside (if so, call 911 first)
In Arizona heat
A closed car gets dangerously hot within minutes, even outside summer. If a child, pet or anyone at risk is inside, call 911 first.
If you're waiting on Scott in the heat, get out of the sun. A store, a gas station or any shaded spot nearby is better than standing next to the car.
